Remodel Day 4/5

After Day 4/5 there are lots of changes. Again I forgot to take pics after day 4, so these are after day 5. We now have interior walls on the long wall. We have the brick wall prepped for interior walls (we are buying those tomorrow so that can be done). The windows have been framed out on the outside. The bench for the mud room area has been built. The garage door is now a solid door where the cold won't just blow in. We have outlet covers. :-)  And it made me cry that our beautiful carpet is completely gone, cry in a happy way!!!

Remodel Day 3

Again pics taken in the morning after day 3. Front door is on, totally cool. The small wall has insulation and has the interior wall. The big wall has insulation. Yay, we are well on our way!!!

Remodel Day 2

I forgot to take pics after day 1, but day 1 took out the 2 windows out of the front and put solid walls up as well as other misc stuff. After Day 2 I remembered to take pics (actually remembered the morning of day 3), but anywho...  At the end of Day 2 all of the new windows are in, both the front and side. and the inside framing (I guess that's what it's called). Amazing how far it's come....

The remodel has begun....

As you probably remember we have a sun room in the side of the house (I call it the front because that's the door I use, but technically it's the side) by the garage. This winter it was Brrrrrrr cold in there and don't forget the beautiful carpet and the wonderful windows that are in there. After much deliberation, we decided we would turn it into a game room. We will miss the sun room but we all have to make sacrifices. Ok Ok, TOTALLY kidding, we decided we were NOT keeping the sun room even before we bought the house. The windows were horrible, they actually were coming out from their frames and the carpet was HIDEOUS!!!   Here are some pics...just as a reminder....
